Similar to what others are saying, you like to think each summer its going to be different.
Probably end up with ANOTHER right back, ANOTHER central midfielder and then a desperate loan on deadline day for someone like Shane Long / Peter Crouch / Abel Hernandez, Ulolla.

Sullivan is for me the root of all the problems with transfers. His Napoleon Syndrome, need to feed his ego is what this is about. Gold has said "he is one of the best negotiators in football" or words to that effect. He means he always has to think he has got one over the team he is buying from. Reality tells a totally different story.
We are going nowhere under these owners lads. We all know it and have always suspected it. The move to the stadium and the promises are what have irked me. I am running out of time to see a decent West Ham team on the pitch again. We rarely had one before sky and money took over but now we are so far behind but with owners that are out and out charlatans.
If they under deliver this window, which looks likely at the moment, the tide of fan opinion will as it should, turn against them and we will be hearing "sack the board","sack the owners", "2Bobs out" or "Dildos Out" before long.

Sullivan operates as if he's some all knowing all seeing football guru who has a value on every player.
Thing is the market has gone crazy and he still operates on 2005 values !
He needs to wise up and change his approach or we will always get the shite other clubs don't want

If you think we've paid over the odds for "shit", and missed out on all these top players we apparently bid for, then something must be seriously wrong with our transfer policy then?
I know for a fact gylfi would come to us, but we wont pay the money.

Buying the right players is a different matter though.
You say we aren't willing to pay the money for players and low ball everyone, but we constantly pay over the odds for complete shit.
I think we just haven't proven we are a club that can handle top players and desperately thow money thinking we are big. We bombed out of Europe twice to some Romanian no-marks and have ended up selling our world class player despite saying we wouldn't. It's not a great advert.
Add that to greedy agents of which hasn't been mentioned in the difficulty of signing players and that goes to show whytop players that are aiming for regular European football won't likely want to come to us.

Buying players ISNT difficult
For the record, i have worked for a premier league club, and a family member has worked for 3, currently a non league assistant, and is mates with a champions league manager...
As it goes we were chatting tonight about buying players. Saidtje way we go about things is unreal. Players are willing to join, we just refuse to play ball and pay the asking price

Buying players is not difficult if you pay what the club and player want Cornish.
It's also not that difficult if you have negotiating position in the same ball park as the sellers and player.
Unfortunately we're run by a couple of lying, money grabbing, incompetent, penny pinching, unambitious who have a reputation in football for being hard to deal with.
When they continually underbid whilst trying to stir players, or offer a loan deal for players who want to leave whilst their club will let them go for say £30m then we're not going to get anywhere. It's that that makes it hard.
If we've lost that Iganacio to Leicester for example then we really are going backwards under the BERKS, their league winning honeymoon is over now and we're supposed to be a bigger club than them.
All this has happened EVERY season since they unfortunately bought us, so I am confused why each year people expect anything else?
